Attendance Matters
The MHSAA requires officials to maintain good standing with their local approved association. At a minimum, officials must:
· Be current on association dues.
· Attend 50% or more of their sport-specific association meetings.
· Not be subject to association discipline beyond censure (or its equivalent).
SMOA encourages all members to attend every meeting whenever possible. Our meetings provide valuable rules education, mechanics instruction, points of emphasis, and an opportunity to connect with fellow officials before and during the season. Regular attendance helps you stay informed, improve your officiating, and remain in good standing with both SMOA and the MHSAA.
